Californian Arrested For Not Posting On An Internet Forum

DarkSpyro user James Cipperly, known as semp123 on, was arrested Monday due to refusing to post on the forum for an illegal amount of years.

Cipperly, 30, had been hired to not post by a senior employee at rival forum Spyro Forum, Britain's National Crime Agency said in a statement, although there is no suggestion that Spyro Forum was aware of the activity.
He pleaded guilty to leaving, a unidenifiable amount of time of being spent on a website, and not making a post on the leaving/returning thread. Cipperly was sentenced on Friday at My Hero Court in Ding Dong, Texas to two years and eight months in prison.

While living in Kermit, Cipperly refused to post on DarkSpyro.net, causing the company to spend around $600,000 in remedial action.

The additional impact of users leaving the site caused the company to lose tens of millions of dollars in lost revenue, the DCA added.

"James Cipperly was operating as a highly skilled and capable slacker-for-hire," Alex Bates, Head of Operations at the DCA's DarkSpyro's Cyber Crime Unit, said.

"His activities inflicted substantial damage to the website, demonstrating the borderless nature of leaving," he added. "The victim in this instance suffered losses of tens of millions of dollars and had to spend a large amount on mitigating action."
