Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railroad Unveil New Paint Livery

CPKC Rail announces the start of an ambitious paint redesign.

CALGARY - Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railroad is proud to announce that select locomotives on the CPKC Railroad will be given a unique paint livery that will celebrate our newly formed company's historic past and historically significant, ambitious future. At CPKC Rail, we strive to maintain the ambitious innovation that it took to build our railroads, design the locomotives and hire a highly-skilled team of employees across the North American continent. CPKC Locomotive 9010 has been given a new, sleek look that represents the merger, with a large CPKC sticker applied to the locomotive. The goal of the CPKC 9010 is to proudly present that the merger between Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern has been completed. A new livery that will combine both of our railroads' iconic paint designs will be announced in the near future with employees being able to vote for the final design.
In an exclusive interview with Sun News, Jim Vena, Diversity Manager of CPKC Rail, says the railroad plans on painting more locomotives with different liveries to celebrate contrasting parts of our railroad's history and to help employees of the 2SLGBTQI+ community feel safe, and supported at work with a hate-free, inclusive and equity filled environment.
CPKC Locomotive 9010 will soon hit the rails from the railroad's St Paul, Minnesota Yard destined for revenue freight service throughout the entire CPKC rail network.
