Northern investors buy Serenity Point. Rename it Yankee Beach

Topsail Beach, NC

Topsail residents are still reeling from the news about the southernmost tip of their island, known as serenity point, being put up for sale. Well, it's become much worse for them as details are coming out about the property being sold on August 30th.
The land was purchased by a large group of investors from northern states. A spokesperson for the group stated that the reasons for the purchase are rather obvious. When asked if it was to make sure the land stays persevered, his reply was an emphatic "no." He further elaborated by saying "it's about being able to avoid the idiots of Topsail, and enrage them at the same time. Tourists are constantly abused on the island. Especially those from northern states. Transplants are also looked down upon. Although there is that sub group of transplants who are too stupid to realize they're also being made fun of, despite being North Carolina residents for a whole eighteen months already. In their mind they're one of the idiots, and chime in with anti union state rhetoric. We collectively as a group find those people the worst of the bunch. We can respect natives being natives. After all, the cultural differences between the north and south, are part of what makes this nation great and diverse."
Some of those transplants are really feeling the effects, and butt-hurt from the natives. One of those is Hampstead resident, Scott ZSadanyi. He had this to say after a meme was posted in the facebook group - Idiots of Topsail Island. The meme implied that residents welcome the threat of hurricanes, because they scare yankees away. Scott's response was "F..k You..." The rest of his response is being omitted because it was a call for peace. A call for peace isn't a call for peace when it's opening line is a derogatory phrase.
The investors plan to name the beach, even if unofficially, Yankee Beach. It is rumored that they plan on digging lots of holes, laughing at sea turtles, and littering. Although none of these have been confirmed. We can only assume. The spokesperson declined to comment.
